We got this question on our profile page and I wanted to share it with our Members to see if they might be able to help.
"Hi all, I'm making some animal masks for a musical - they want to wear them normally as well as sliding them up onto their forehead for when on all fours. Was just wondering if ppl had ideas for the best ways to have them tie to the head - I'm thinking two elastic straps maybe. Any help much appreciated, thanks!" - ShadowFoxLeatherwork
Personally, I like the idea of elastic since it's flexible and easy to position. I wonder if a mechanism not unlike a helmet might be used too? I imagine this might be something like a plain headband to which the mask attaches via rivets which are *just* loose enough to allow the leather to be moved up and down. The problem with this is I imagine the more you move the leather up and down, the more it might loosen up and not stand up by itself. I'm sure those of you experienced with more complex masks might have better suggestions, so fire away, guys!

Saying Farewell!
Right, so this has been a difficult decision for me and I know I mentioned earlier that I might be able to still run this group if I had Staff come on board, but honestly, I know myself and I have a bad habit of taking on more than I can chew!
I need to make a clean cut here because I have too many projects and career moves going on in my life right now. I've had a really great run here getting to know you all, but now it's time for me to move on to other projects!
If anyone is interested in taking over this group, please se

Straps would be more secure. You need three for a mask that becomes your face.
1. Width of head around nose level.
2. Nape of neck.
3. Across the top and preferably attaching to the other two.
If the straps are hidden by hair you can use nylon webbing or old belts from a thrift store.
